Refuge Temple NC Bible Institute is a local school that serves the educational needs of the general members of the church, historically referred to as the laity. We have been serving that mandate since 2003.
We are a member school of Church of Christ Bible Institute, COOLJC and a ministry of Refuge Temple Church in Burlington North Carolina.
Our goal is to serve this group of believers through short, structured courses that aim to strengthen the toolbelt of all Christians. Specifically, the lay leadership of the local church.
We are not a degree granting institution. However, we do offer certificate programs that focus on specific church leadership areas.
Academic Schedule
Classes are offered in two academic terms in the fall and spring.
We dedicate the summer to offer workshops, training seminars, and conferences.
Generally, three classes are offered each academic term. Additionally, we offer year round on-demand classes as provided in the course prospectus.

We provide two course catalogs for current and potential students. Both are available in the Academic Academic Information page.
The Academic Catalog features information that pertains to the entire academic year.
The course prospectus provides the class schedule for the upcoming academic term. It is posted before the end of the previous academic term.
Tuition and Fees
General courses are $45.00 and tuition is due by the end of week 1 of the semester.
For courses that require a textbook, the student is responsible for obtaining the textbook. The instructor of the class will provide the textbook information in the syllabus.
Tuition can be paid on the electronic form via Cashapp or credit card. Tuition can also be sent by check payable to Refuge Temple Bible Institute, PO Box 3552 Burlington, NC 27215.
Instructions to Join Refuge Bible Institute
Classes are open to anyone who desires to receive structured biblical instruction. There is no general application for acceptance at the Bible Institute. To enroll for classes, go to the registration page and fill out the online registration form.

We at Refuge Temple Bible Institute all work on a volunteer basis. We are always looking for quality staff and volunteers. Fill out the supporter sign up form to express your desire to serve.
